Pago Florentino

"This month I'm bringing you Pago Florentino, an estate red from Ciudad Real that has won us all over. Powerful yet elegant — one of those wines that leaves you thinking about the next sip."
Pago Florentino is an estate wine crafted in Ciudad Real from Cabernet Sauvignon and Cencibel (Tempranillo) grapes grown using certified organic farming on clay-limestone soils. Hand-harvested and aged in French oak barrels, it develops exceptional complexity for its price.
In the glass it shows a deep ruby red with violet hints. On the nose: ripe dark fruits, plum, cocoa and well-integrated oak. On the palate it is broad and generous, with silky tannins and a long, spiced finish. A characterful red that pairs beautifully with our cured meats and aged cheeses.

An unexpected gem
An unexpected gem in O Calvario. A great wine selection at good prices and a small but carefully curated menu. Don't leave without trying the Garavato loin. We'll be back.
What I loved most was the tranquillity of the interior terrace and how modern the place is. I'll definitely be back!
We popped in for a drink and were pleasantly surprised by the great atmosphere, the varied tapas menu, the black pudding and the attentive service. We'll be back to enjoy the terrace.
